Wool Felting Tool? What the heck is a wool felting tool? If you are a veteran felter you know the value of having a washboard handy during the fulling or hardening of the felt. If you are a newbie you will learn all about the value of a good washboard. Well, this little tool, my Felting Stone, is a small, personal sized, hand held washboard. Instead of bringing the felt piece to the washboard you take the washboard to the felt piece. This is particularly helpful when working on a really big piece such as a rug or a piece that is not flat, such as a hat. The Felting Stone is hand made, in Maine, by me, of natural earth clay, fired, glazed and fired again. "I love mine! I want another one!" exclaims S. Here is a peaceful "home" for your felting needles. These are made in Maine (by me) of natural earth clay, fired, glazed and fired again. Then the felted "meadow" is made and inserted to creat a warm, safe, extra deep, needle friendly home for your felting needles.
