We came We saw, We loved it!
Bermuda! YES!
This was the trip of a lifetime. It was lots of fun. We worked hard with lots of hours logged in but it was so worth it. The people were so wonderful and giving. I will be updating this page as I can get the photos sized and loaded so check back often and I will try to get it done.

This wonderful band welcomed us as we entered the airport on Bermuda. Lots of smiles and great music! What a treat!

On the way to customs, man it took almost forever...well, an hour anyway.

It took us an hour in customs but once we got it all sorted out we then got our stuff loaded into a cab and ourselves loaded into cars with wonderful volunteer drivers and headed out to our temporary home.

Carolyn put us up in her lovely home, drove us around endlessly and taught us how to use the bus and cab systems and gave us bus chits and cab fare. She went way beyond what anyone should have done to make us comfortable. She also fed us and really acted as our Bermuda mom. Then, in the evenings she would delight us with stories of her world travels and family/childhood. Thank you Carolyn, you are wonderful. And your little dog is too.

This is Tucker, the Wonder Dog! He is so sweet, and smart, just like a grand child...well almost.

Here we are getting ready for the art show and demo days. We were at a slight disadvantage as we didn't have any of our own display stuff and I had a couple of serious meltdowns, but in the end we all pulled together and got it done (they all helped me pull on my big girl pants). All the exibits looked great and we were very well received by everyone who attended the opening. We met very many lovely people who welcomed us graciously.

We managed to make small get aways as we could and this time we made our escape to Shelly Bay Beach with Tucker the wonder dog, or as Carolyn calls him "the Star of the Show", too true. I have lots more photos and will load them as I can.

We had heard and read a lot about the drink "Dark and Stormy". Janet and I decided we had to try one. Here is our first "try" this lovely young lady did a great job making them and we enjoyed our first "Dark and Stormy".

Fiona, the head of Kaliedoscope Art Center (the reason we were in Bermuda in the first place) invited us to Bolero restaurant, run by her husband Johnny Roberts the owner chef. This is a seriously great restaurant. The menu is extensive and the food is prepared to perfection.
The wine flowed freely and the food passed all of our expectations. Johnny is a true artist, we enjoyed every moment and morsel. If you should find yourself in Bermuda be sure to go to Bolero, it is in Hamilton on Front street, I highly recommend it.
