My Sheep Babies
Just a few pictures of my fuzzy lovies

Salt and Pepper, new born sheep, Icelandic cross breed ram lambs. These two are twins but brothers to two other lambs. One is Geesla's lamb and the other Passenger's lamb. CUTE!

This is Fairy, she is my sweetheart. She was one of the first lambs of my flock. She is 8 years old now and still very sweet. Fairy is a pure Icelandic from Frelsi Farm in Limmerick. Elaine Clark is one of the premier Icelandic breeders in the country and she is really happy to share what she knows and loves about this wonderful breed. She has a great web site, check it out at:

This is our one and only goat. Velour. He is an angora goat, very soft and silky even though he is 9 years old. He comes from Friends Folly Farm here in Maine. Pogo and Marsha raise some of the nicest critters you will ever meet. Vel has never butted a person, he butts the heck out of the sheep when they get in his way but is just one of the family with us. He even tries to come into the house. Such a love.

This is Chocolate Boy now, he is only 3 months old but he is so big and strong. He is Easter's boy and she and Passenger always have such big strong lambs. Unfortunately we lost Passi's lamb this year to dog kill. But maybe next year...we shall see. That is Jelly Susan right behind Chocolate Boy, she is a beautiful black Corriedale ewe I bought at Fryeburg Fair last fall. She had a lovely little black ewe lamb, Susan Mills, in April. Can't wait to see how her fleece turns out. I may add some Finn sheep into the line, I have always wanted to have the soft qualities of Finn wool.

This is Geesla's brown girl, Geesla had twins this year after taking two years off, her other girl is black, this brown one is really big, see, her umbie is still pink and wet, she was just a few hours old when this pic was taken. It has been a strange year with the lambs, most of my sheep have horns, rams and ewes, but even with both parents having horns some of the lambs are polled. They have all been horned in years past. Genetics are funny don't ya think?

"Passenger" was one of our first lambs of our flock. She and her sister, Easter, are Comet's daughters. Comet is sort of famous in our area for being really loud and vocal. Easter sounds just like Comet did. Comet, sadly is no longer with us, but her legacy lives on with her two wonderful girls Passenger and Easter. These two were born on, yep you guessed it, Easter morning about 8 years ago. Easter bears the name of the holiday and Passenger was named so because Comet was as big as a bus and Passenger rode the bus...it was funny at the time, really.
